Seventeenth Century lolcats.

Sun Mar 22, 2009, 3:18 AM
  • Mood: Pirate
  • Listening to: all manner of stuff from the 80's
  • Reading: biography of Charles II
  • Watching: embarrassingly chirpy musicals
  • Playing: nothing. in a non-gamer phase
  • Eating: crackers made by klingons
  • Drinking: organic cola
I used to hate history at school. Now I'm having a period of being permanently stuck in the seventeenth century and enjoying the hell out of it.

There are probably pills you can get to cure this. "Slow progression into the future? Feeling yourself sliding back to the dirty and horribly fascinating past? Then you need Futramil! Scientifically proven to aid temporal transit."

I'm also going through an arty phase. Lots of writing, drawing. I promised myself this weekend to be purely creative and I've been sticking to it pretty well. That novel may get written yet. I found myself thinking: "At the end of my life, am I going to sit back and regret not having watched more daytime TV or not having stared at more lolcats? Or am I going to regret not ever having written that novel/finished that painting?"

Lolcats are great, but they can't top a creative splurge. :P So back I go to my artist's garret, where I have installed all manner of comforts blissfuly unknown to the seventeenth century, and am making things.

Oh, and a quick message to all you lovely folks who have been slapping favourites on and collecting my works. THANK YOU. With all my heart. I don't have a lot of time to reply individually these days, but I hope to get round to most at some point.

P.S.: Do you have a favourite lolcat? I'd love to see it if you do.

To all you industrious people of the ~lokclan who are sending me these marvellous pictures you're drawing of our favourite vamps and wraiths. I love the pictures and I love maintaining the clan. Please be patient with me. I do try and do all uploads as soon as I can, but I only get three hours a day when I'm not at work or asleep, so sometimes, if you send me a whole bunch of pictures, it can take me a while to have a block of time long enough to get them all done.

That's all for now. Fur, wing and fetter love.

Hi there :)

If you want to ask me something about my drawings, either leave a comment on the picture you want to ask about or send me a Note. It's a lot easier for me that way.
